Description

Publication discussing the importance of protections for the civilian labor force during wartime. Discusses efficiencey Includes concerns for safety, sanitation, hours, wages, child labor, woman's work, social insurance, labor market and administration of labor laws.

Along with other minimum requirements, argues for a three-shift system in continuous industries, one day's rest in seven for all workers, equal pay for equal work without discrimination as to sex, and the prohibition of specially hazardous employment for children under sixteen.
