Hatenanny Records [American Nazi Party]
Description
An account of the resource
During the 1960s, George Lincoln Rockwell attempted to draw attention to the American Nazi Party (which he founded) by starting a small record label, named Hatenanny Records. The label released several 45 RPM singles, including recordings by a group credited as Odis Cochran and the Three Bigots, that were sold mostly through mail order and at party rallies. (SaveTheVinyl.org)

The name "Hatenanny" comes from the word "hootenanny" which referred to folk music gatherings. Rockwell regarded folk musicians as communist sympathizers, race-mixers and "peace creeps."

Bob Dylan mentions George Lincoln Rockwell in his "Talkin' John Birch Paranoid Blues."

Side 1: "Ship Those Niggers Back" credited to Odis Cochran & Guitar with "The 3 Bigots"
copyright 1964 By G.L Rockwell Pary, Inc. #6409191

Side 2: "We Is Non-Violent Niggers" credited to Odis Cochran & Guitar with "The 3 Bigots" copyright 1964 By G.L Rockwell Pary, Inc. #6409192

Votes for Women. Suffrage Rallying Song
Description
An account of the resource
Musical score.

Published in 1915, this suffrage rallying song was composed by Marie and Edward Zimmerman of Philadelphia. The Liberty Bell on the cover reminded women to “Proclaim Liberty Throughout All the Land Unto All the Inhabitants thereof” as they sought the right to vote.
The song is dedicated to Anna Howard Shaw, president of the National American Woman Suffrage Association, and “the Great Cause of Woman Suffrage.”

Transcription:

"What means this 'Votes for Women'?
Just this the time has come
When they may voice with freemen
Concerns of land and home!

Then, snap the ancient tether
Enthralling us too long,
And stoutly pull together
To right a grievous wrong!

The votes of sisters, mothers,
In ev'ry sovereign state,
For us and many others
May light the gloom of fate;

The joyless haunt of drudges
Where children toil and die
May find these votes the judges
That ask the reason why!

Then, sisters of our nation,
Put forth your mighiest nerve,
Remember with elation
The glorious cause you serve!

Enlist your best endeavor,
What ever that may be;
With "Votes for Women" ever,
Press on to victory!"

The Community Singing idea of war days must be perpetuated. It is productive of immeasurable good in this wholesome movement of Americanization. Nothing is more unifying and democratic than the group singing of old familiar and patriotic songs.
