Title

Citizenship Conference, Washington, D.C., October 13 - 15, 1923, promotional material

Description

Multi-paged booklet outlining the call, the objectives, and the supporters of the Citizenship Conference held at the Raleigh Hotel, Washington, D.C., October 13- 15, 1923.

The conference was called "in recognition of the widespread propaganda for the nullification of the EIGHTEENTH AMENDMENT to the Constitution and the VOLSTEAD ACT, thereby tending to weaken and break down the observance of all law....The Conference will emphasize the necessity for the same conscientious zeal for the enforcement as was manifest for the enactment of the law."
